IMF chief welcomes 'very constructive' call with Ukrainian president
KYIV, July 28 (Reuters) - The head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, said on Wednesday she had a "very constructive" call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and that an IMF mission would visit Ukraine in September.
"Very constructive call with President @ZelenskyyUa on #Ukraine's sound economic progress made under the IMF program," she wrote on Twitter.
Zelenskiy had told reporters earlier on Wednesday that Ukraine expects a second payment from its $5 billion IMF programme after fulfilling all its agreed commitments.
Loans under the programme have been repeatedly delayed due to the slow pace of reforms in Ukraine and concerns over central bank independence. (Reporting by Ilya Zhegulev; Writing by Matthias Williams; Editing by Sandra Maler)
