    Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.99% in a weak market

    Synopsis

    The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.99 per cent down at 386.45.

    Analysts see 15,900 to continue to pose as the immediate resistance.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:45AM (IST) on Wednesday in a weak market.

    Brigade Enterprises (up 1.6 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    Indiabulls Real Estate (down 4.8 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 3.33 per cent), DLF (down 2.91 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 2.73 per cent) and SOBHA (down 2.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Realty index was down 1.99 per cent at 386.45 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 205.25 points at 15541.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 701.5 points at 51877.26.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 5 were trading in the green, while 45 were in the red.

    Shares of YES Bank, Trident Ltd, Zomato Ltd., Suzlon Energy and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Synergy Green Ind, Golden Tobacco, BLS Int. Services, Shiva Texyarn and India Motor Part hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Madhav Copper, PVP Ventures Ltd., Viceroy Hotels, RIL (PP) and Alembic Pharma hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
