Baby2Baby was founded in Los Angeles by three moms in 2006 as a way of giving back to their community.
In 2011, it was re-launched with a board and ambassadors comprised of celebrities and in 2014 it became a registered non-profit organization.
Richie, 39, who has two children with musician husband Joel Madden, is one of the celebrity moms who serves on the board of directors.
For Wednesday's event, Richie paired a red stripy cropped top with dark blue jeans and comfy flats.
Her long hair was loose and she wore a pair of reflective sunglasses.
