Microsoft grows revenues 21%, profit 47% in June quarter on Azure expansion, ad market recovery

Microsoft accelerated its revenue growth again in the company's fiscal fourth quarter to June, as sales grew 21 percent year-on-year to USD 46.2 billion. The growth came from a continued expansion in cloud services, including Azure and 365 products, as well as a recovery in search and LinkedIn ad revenues and strong demand for new Xbox consoles. With operating costs growing a slower 6 percent, the company's operating profit rose 42 percent to USD 19.1 billion, and net profit jumped 47 percent to USD 16.5 billion.
