Anatel receives lowest number of telecom complaints since 2015 in H1

Brazilian telecom consumers registered 1.22 million complaints against providers before the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) in the period January-June 2021. The number is down 15 percent from the period July-December 2020, resulting in the half year with the lowest volume of complaints since 2015. All services saw a drop in complaints, with fixed broadband complaints down 15 percent, postpaid mobile telephony complaints down 15 percent, prepaid mobile telephony complaints down 21 percent, fixed line telephony complaints down 12 percent and pay-TV complaints down 28 percent.
