MUMBAI: Only the first 10 attempted questions from out of 15 will be considered for evaluation in section B of the NEET-2021 question paper. The paper will be having optional questions for the first time in section B of all the four subjects and students are not expected to attempt more than 10 questions.

After several concerns over marking of optional questions in NEET-UG 2021, the National Testing Agency has responded to their queries.

Students will be given an option of attempting 180 out of 200 questions overall for the first time since NEET was re-introduced in 2016. The test will be held on September 12. While section A of the four subjects – physics, chemistry, botany and zoology – will have 35 compulsory questions, section B will have 15 questions of which students must attempt 10.
