Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, offered to be a real-life royal adviser for Netflix hit “The Crown” — but was turned down.
The 61-year-old Duchess of York admitted to Town & Country magazine that she wrote to the show’s executive producer, Andy Harries, to give insight direct from the royal household.
“I said to him, ‘Why can’t I help my character?’” said Fergie, who still lives with scandal-scarred Andrew despite their split in 1992.
Her offer was declined, the mag revealed — even though “The Crown” has been plagued by complaints of inaccuracies, with UK government ministers even insisting it should carry warnings that it is fictional.
Ferguson has previously complimented the show, which included her royal wedding, telling Us Weekly that it is “filmed beautifully.”
Still, she does have one complaint — how little she has appeared in it. “Hello? Where is Fergie?” she asked Town & Country magazine.
The Duchess of York’s character, played by Jessica Aquilina, was briefly introduced as Andrew’s wife in last year’s fourth series.

The upcoming fifth series will cover the 1990s, when she split from Andrew amid a foot-fetish sex scandal, and also fell out with Princess Diana, boosting the likelihood she will play an increasingly key role, Town & Country predicted.
In fact, the duchess recalled how her lawyer recently told her, “I think you probably are the woman in the world who has had more bad front pages than any other.”
“I took it as a huge compliment … I’m really proud that I’m still here,” Ferguson said.

“The truth is, I am 61 years old and I am free of the self-sabotaging Sarah,” she said.
Ferguson and Andrew share two adult daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
