Saul Niguez (inset right), also of Atletico, has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Pogba.

The ex-Fulham shot-stopper, who turned down advances from Aston Villa, has agreed a two year deal with the European champions and is expected to sign for the Blues in the coming days on a free transfer after his deal at Craven Cottage expired. Bettinelli is due to complete his medical and sign for the club in the next 48 hours.
