Team GB's Liam Broady triumphed in another three-set thriller in Tokyo after beating seventh seed Hubert Hurkacz to reach the third round of the men's singles event.
Broady found himself up against Wimbledon semi-finalist Hurkacz as he looked to keep his hopes of a medal alive, and progressed in brilliant fashion after the epic.
Having taken the first set 7-5, Broady was then dragged into a nail-biting decider after the big-hitting Hurkacz, representing Poland, rallied back.

But the 27-year-old ensured he remains the only Briton still standing in the singles in Japan after triumphing in the third set 6-3.
He will now face Jeremy Chardy of France next, and the victory marks a superb result after his late call-up to the showpiece.
Broady, ranked 143rd, had been the last man into the draw but followed up on his marathon first-round win over Francisco Cerundolo to record a career highlight.
Hurkacz beat Roger Federer at SW19 earlier this month in emphatic fashion, but he found himself outmatched and outmanoeuvred by the brilliant Broady.
