Businessman Raj Kundra was on Tuesday sent to judicial custody for 14 days in the porn videos racket case.
Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on July 20 in a case related to the alleged production and distribution of pornographic films through different apps. His police custody was set to expire on Tuesday.
Kundra's lawyer filed a bail plea on grounds that the investigation is over and he should be granted bail. However, the magistrate court rejected the plea.
The police claim that Raj Kundra was a financial beneficiary in the HotShots app, the streaming service at the center of the porn racket. However, Raj Kundra has denied the claims.
The police claimed that it had "sufficient evidences" that Raj Kundra was the key conspirator in the case. The police have also arrested 10 persons so far in the porn videos racket.
