Apple TV+ revealed that the nice guy show brought in the biggest audience of any original film or TV show for the season two premiere, which aired on Friday, July 23.

While they didn’t reveal exact numbers, Apple claims more Apple TV Plus accounts that streamed the S2 premiere on Friday and over its opening weekend, than any previous launch, in a report shared by Variety.

The network also stated that season two of the series continues to “lift viewership and engagement” for the series’ first season, while also boosting viewership for comedies like Schmigadoon, Physical and Mythic Quest.

Ted Lasso centers on the title character, an American football coach hired to manage a British soccer team, despite having no experience. But what he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for with optimism, underdog determination and biscuits.

The series also stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed.

If you missed it, Jason wore a sweater with an important message on it for the premiere in NYC.
