ReutersNEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Brigade Enterprises (up 1.92 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 1.01 per cent), SOBHA (up 0.7 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (up 0.17 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate (down 5.76 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 2.49 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India (down 1.84 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.79 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 1.31 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.96 per cent down at 397.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 31.6 points at 15824.45, while the BSE Sensex stood down 123.53 points at 52852.27.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., Vodafone Idea, SAIL and ITC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Jocil Ltd, Pashupati Cotspin, Premier Poly, Caplin Point and Orient Bell hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Walpar Nutritions Ltd., Rajvir Ind, PVP Ventures Ltd., Keerti Knowledge and AKG Exim Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
