Lucknow ,Jul 26 (UNI) A total of 33 new Covid patients were confirmed in Uttar Pradesh on Monday , while 64 patients were discharged after recovering.
There is not a single active case of corona in 11 districts of the state on Monday which are Aligarh, Badaun, Basti, Bahraich Etah, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Hathras, Kasganj, Mahoba and Shravasti, informed state additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal here on Monday.
He said such a situation was in the initial days of Corona that was on April 18, 2020.
No new cases were confirmed in double digit in any district while not a single new case of infection was found in 53 districts, and in 22 districts, patients were found in single digit, Mr Sehgel said.
The positivity rate stood at 0.01% during this period.At present, the number of active Covid cases in the state has come down to 857 in which 515 people are in home isolation.
The recovery rate of corona in the state is 98.6 per cent. So far, more than 16.85 lakh people of the state have become healthy after getting free from corona infection, he added.
In the last 24 hours, 2, 27, 740 Covid samples were examined and so far, 6,42,77,972 Covid samples have been investigated in the state.
Meanwhile, in view of the possibility of third wave of Covid, chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed all department to complete all necessary requirements at the earliest.
"From the point of view of health security of children, the process of establishment of Piku/Neeku should be speeded up. Till now the number of Pediatric ICU/Isolation beds in Medical Colleges alone has exceeded 6522. Similarly, about 3000 pediatric ICUs/isolations have been prepared in the hospitals of the Health Department" CM said in a meeting of his officials on Covid here on Monday.
So far, more than 4,44,13,000 Covid vaccines have been administered in Uttar Pradesh. In this, more than 1.32 crore vaccine doses have been applied in the month of July alone. More than 3.72 crore people of the state have taken at least one dose of Covid vaccine. This is the highest number of vaccinations done by a single state, CM said.
Yogi Adityanath said in order to make efforts to provide better health facilities to the people of the state, establishment of "Health ATM" should be done at CHC/PHC level. Various industrial groups/social organizations have expressed their willingness to provide 'Health ATMs'.
CM said 9 new Medical colleges are going to be inaugurated very soon . The remaining works in respect of laboratory, library, teachers, support personnel, equipment etc. of these medical colleges should be completed expeditiously. Daily review of the works should be done by appointing one nodal officer for all the nine medical colleges, he directed.
