Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday said that he will take an appropriate decision after receiving instructions from the BJP high command regarding his continuation in the post. He said this in response to a question asked by reporters.
On the sidelines of a mega conclave in Bangalore on Sunday, Yeddyurappa was asked whether he was expected to get directions from the Delhi party high command to step down as chief minister. On this, the Chief Minister said that it would be known by Sunday evening or Monday morning. Once instructions come from the party high command, I will take an appropriate decision.

The Bangalore Conclave is being seen as an expression of party solidarity with Chief Minister Yeddyurappa. On this question, he said that there is no need to organize any meeting, I have faith in PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other leaders. When asked about replacing him with a Dalit chief minister, Yediyurappa said, "I am not going to decide about it, it is for the high command to decide."

Chief Minister Yediyurappa also took stock of the relief and rescue operations in the district devastated by the floods and rains in the state along with political rains in Bangalore. After reviewing the relief and rescue work in the Belagavi district, he visited some of the flood-affected villages.
Responding to a question on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the rains are decreasing in Maharashtra. This is a good sign. Yediyurappa said, “By the grace of God, the rains have subsided on Saturday and Sunday and if the situation continues like this for the next few days, I am sure things will come under control.
