UPEIDA CEO Awanish Awasthi conducted a site inspection of the expressway on Sunday
LUCKNOW: The UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) on Sunday said that the 340km Purvanchal Expressway is nearing completion and is scheduled to be open for public next month. On Sunday chief executive officer, UPEIDA, Awanish Awasthi conducted a site inspection of the expressway and reviewed package wise progress in different locations. He categorically stressed on the plantation of trees and instructed representatives of the construction companies to complete the work and open the main carriageway of the expressway for traffic soon. He also directed officials to complete the construction of way-side amenities and toilet blocks at the earliest for the convenience of passengers. Awasthi directed the representatives of the construction companies to ensure that the work is completed expeditiously keeping in mind the quality. He then conducted on site inspection of expressway in in Mau and Ghazipur districts. The CEO maintained that more than 95 per cent work of the Purvanchal Expressway has been completed. Soon after completing the construction work, the main carriageway of the Expressway will be opened for passengers. Now the eastern regions of the state will get direct connectivity to Delhi. Additional chief executive officer, UPEIDA Shrish Chandra Verma, chief engineer Salil Yadav and other officers of UPEIDA were also present.
