Jaipur-based institute develops eco-friendly Khadi natural paint

New Delhi, Jul 26 (UNI) The Jaipur-based National Handmade Paper Institute (KNHPI) has developed a eco-friendly and cost effective natural paint from cow dung.
In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Narayan Rane said use of cow dung for the Khadi Prakratik Paint will promote local manufacturing, create sustainable employment and generate additional revenue for farmers and cow shelter homes.
The Khadi Prakratik Paint developed by KNHPI, a unit of Khadi and Village Industries, has been tested at National Test House, Ghaziabad, National Test House, Mumbai and Shri Ram Institute of Industrial Research, Delhi and it satisfied the parameters required for paint.
