Rajya Sabha scheduled to consider Marine Aids to Navigation Bill amid disruption fears

New Delhi, Jul 26 (UNI) Marine Aids to Navigation Bill and also the Bill to amend the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 are scheduled for consideration of the Rajya Sabha on Monday after days of disruptions and adjournments that marred the proceedings of the House last week.

As opposition parties insisted for taking up the issue of alleged snooping using Israeli spyware and farm laws on priority, the initial days of the Monsoon session have been a virtual wash-out.

The Upper House saw three back-to-back adjournments on Friday before it was adjourned for the day to reassemble today. Both the Houses of the Parliament started the current session on a stormy note and Opposition parties are expected to leave no opportunity to corner the government.

Apart from the two bills for consideration as part of the legislative business of the government in Rajya Sabha today, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani is set to move for leave to withdraw the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Amendment Bill, 2012.

MP Sonal Mansingh would present the report on ‘Development and Conservation of Museums and Archaeological Sites – Challenges and Opportunities’ of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture.
