NDA in Bihar faces heat of the rough treatment to Mukesh Sahni in Uttar Pradesh

Patna, Jul 26 (UNI) A day after Bihar Fisheries Minister Mukesh Sahni, president of VIP,
a constituent of ruling NDA in Bihar, suffered humiliation in Uttar Pradesh as he was not
allowed by police to move out from Varanasi airport to participate in a function planned
to pay tributes to to bandit queen of yester years and former MP Phoolan Devi, prompting
him to boycott a meeting of NDA chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to chalk out
strategy for ongoing Monsoon session of Bihar legislature.
Mr Sahni during interaction with media persons after Assembly was adjourned for the
day, said he was deeply pained over treatment meted out to him by police in Uttar Pradesh
on instruction from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth.
It was strange that a large number of security personnel were deployed to prevent him
from moving out of Varanasi airport to participate in a function to pay tributes to Phoolan
Devi on her 20th death anniversary, he added.
" I am Minister in NDA government in Bihar but treatment meted out to me by BJP
government is painful", VIP president said adding that the incident proved the ground
realities that he was not being given due respect and importance despite being part of
NDA.
He had boycotted the NDA meeting of legislators as there was no point for him to
participate, if his views did not get much importance, he pointed out.
" I strongly believe in vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of 'Development of all with
participation of all and trust of all ', but trust of all is missing in Uttar Pradesh", Mr Sahni
said adding that his programme to pay tributes to Phoolan Devi was aimed at seeking trust
of more and more people in Uttar Pradesh.
It was his achievement that Uttar Pradesh government was forced to deploy five thousand
policemen to prevent a single person like him to move out from Varanasi airport, he remarked.
