Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 26 (UNI) Chairperson of State Women's Commission in Maharashtra and BJP national secretary, Vijaya Rahatkar, on Monday demanded that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray should take immediate action on Shiv Sena MLA Bhaskar Jadhav for allegedly insulting a distressed woman during Mr Thackeray's visit to rain-affected parts in Konkan region.
Mr Jadhav was rubbing salt on the grief of the people by insulting women in the presence of the Chief Minister, she stated in a press statement.
She accused that the Sena MLA's behaviour had shown that the state government was insensitive towards the victims.
While demanding an unconditional apology from Mr Jadhav, Ms Rahatkar urged the Chief Minister to take immediate action against him.
She warned of staging agitation if no action is taken against Mr Jadhav, the statement added.
