DCW identifies 791 women widowed due to Covid, submits list to Delhi govt for rehabilitation
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has identified 791 women who were widowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has submitted a report to the city government to ensure their rehabilitation. The commission has also conducted a social survey of all these women to help the government in the rehabilitation process. The social survey was conducted on the grassroots level by the DCW through its Mahila Panchayat network. (PTI)
5 men involved in stealing cattle held in Delhi
Five people involved in stealing cattle from Rajasthan, Haryana and the Delhi-NCR region were arrested on Monday morning after a brief exchange of fire in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area, police said. The accused have been identified as Ajaj (33), Irshad (35), Ismaile (24), Sajat (53) and Nabiya (55), all residents of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, they said, adding the accused mainly stole buffalos. Over 10,000 get Covid jabs on Sunday, total past 96L
