WD 2TB Purple picked up by @rehankum yesterday. Nice person, he even offered to let me use his other stuff for a month. Thank you for that. :)

In the meantime, filled 1TB HDD with some "useless" data for two reasons.... first reason, buyer you will find something "useless", 2nd to test if I get any error while copying....all good.

---------------
Echo Dot 4 sold to @tech.monk

Payment received, Thanks.

Pickup is being managed by the buyer.

WD 1TB External USB 2.0 Portable HDD sold to @enthusiast29

Payment received, buyer is managing pickup.

I will be adding a couple of 2TB and/or 3TB HDDs in next 2-3 days after taking screenshots and running full scan. I am deleting many of my media files and backups which I have not seen in last few years, and most of them are on OTT now. So, no point keeping them.

BTW, is this Western Digital 2TB HDD still good for use/sale? Took it out from cupboard and shows some warning signs.

Doesn't look good mate. Backup any data you have. It might chug on for sometime though.

Thanks. I have already copied data. No errors. This is totally asymptomatic other than RT-PCR (HD-Tune) test. :D

So, should I throw this or there might be someone interested in buying it at "some" price?

Bad sector(s) are definitely on the disk but it's less than the max threshold. Now given that they already are there they can increase with usage or stay where they are it totally depends on luck now.
It's still within the reserved space area of the disk. This is where the reserved space comes into play. The firmware swaps normal area with reserved space until it runs out of reserved space that's when you'll see data corruption.
