But it would appear that exes Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are now more concerned with outdoing one another when it comes to their luxurious vacation plans, as they're both currently chartering rival superyachts in Saint-Tropez. 

While A-Rod's ex JLo, 52, was pictured canoodling with on-again Ben Affleck over the weekend, Alex, 45, was also seen cavorting with blonde NFL broadcaster Melanie Collins, 35, on an equally impressive vessel in the same coastal town on the French Riviera.

Rodriguez - who turns 46 tomorrow - plans to celebrate his big day on the Ocean Paradise yacht, which has an eye-watering price tag of €27,000,000 ($31,860,810) and can hold a crew of 12 and 12 guests.

Yet that is no match for Valerie, the superyacht currently priced at €110,000,000 ($129,817,600) where yesterday, Ben and Jen were seen recreating steamy scenes from her 2002 music video Jenny from the Block. 

Jen's vessel Valerie was built by Lürssen in 2011 and underwent an extensive refit in 2019, and can accommodate 17 guests in nine well-appointed cabins with space for a 27-strong crew.

Still, Alex appeared to be more than happy with his fancy cruiser, as he was accompanied by his NFL reporter blonde, who is apparently 'just friends' with.

According to PageSix, Alex 'has been hanging with friends and family on the trip, including Eric and Jessie James Decker. Melanie is good friends with them. They're all friends and she’ll be at his party,' a source said. 

The source added that Melanie and the Deckers, as well as 50 other guests, are expecting to be partying for A-Rod's birthday tomorrow. 

Aside from being linked to the likes of blonde Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy, A-Rod has remained single since his split with Jen, while her romance with ex Ben has gone into overdrive, moving at warp speed. 

After flying in to the French Riviera on a luxury private jet, likely a Bombardier Global 7500, at an estimated cost of around $200,000, Bennifer were quickly whisked away to their luxury $130M mega-yacht in the Mediterranean, where they were spotted exchanging kisses and tender embraces on the sun deck.

'Fifty two!' declared Lopez in an Instagram video, also celebrating a birthday, as she proudly flaunted her figure in a bikini and elegant flowing beach wrap as she strutted on the deck of the yacht.

It is not known who is paying for the trip, but Affleck is said to be worth $150M while JLo is around three times that at $400M. Meanwhile, A-Rod has a rumored net worth of $350M.

Although he is expected to have around 50 guests for his birthday celebrations, only a lucky few will be staying the night on his Ocean Paradise yacht. 

The interior layout is said to sleep up to 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite. 

The vessel includes impressive leisure and entertainment facilities, ideal for a birthday bash. 

There is also a deck jacuzzi and a gym onboard.

According to a description online, the vessel contains 'timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.'

A-Rod can been in the pictures enjoying the hot tub on the yacht, as he was joined by his presenter pal Melanie and the Deckers, all sipping champagne. 

The star appeared to be world's away from thinking about his ex Lopez, who is now said to be on her way to Capri, Italy next. 

On Monday, JLo was pictured with a group of pals as they got ready to move on from Saint-Tropez, meaning she won't be around for A-Rod's birthday.  

While the couple initially pledged to be 'friends' that plan seemingly fell apart as Lopez swiftly moved on with her ex-fiancé Affleck.  

Rodriguez and Lopez officially ended their four-year relationship in April, before she rekindled her romance with Affleck - whom she previously dated back in the early 2000s. 

Affleck and Lopez now appear to have fully rekindled their romance, after going 'official' in a photo from actress Leah Remini's Instagram that showed them sweetly cuddling on July 15. 

Earlier this week it was claimed by People that she is 'madly in love' with on-again beau Affleck and feels they will be together from now on.

The couple have quickly fallen back in love after reuniting just months ago, with a source telling E! News that the celebrity couple is 'fully committed to each other,' although they've both agreed they aren't in a rush to get married again.

Now making no secret of her rekindled romance with Affleck, the triple-threat entertainer also posted an Instagram photo showing her exchanging a passionate smooch with the two-time Oscar winner. 

The incredible yacht the loved-up couple will be staying on is the Valerie, currently on the market for $130M and being sold by Dynamiq Brokerage.

Moving on: On Monday, it seemed that JLo had moved on to the port of Monaco, before their expected departure for Capri, Italy 

The couple will be able to spend time together with seven bedrooms across six decks on which to enjoy the voyage. 

The theme of wellness runs throughout with a steam room and even a Hamman, said to be decorated with mosaics according to Boat International.  There are also massage rooms and spaces for beauty treatments. 

A gym with a panoramic view of the ocean opens out onto an outdoor space with room for dining and a fountain that lights up at night.

Launched in 2011, the vessel has six decks all served by an elevator and has an onboard 20 foot-long pool and a Jacuzzi which is one of five outdoor spaces.

Boasting an onboard gym and spectacular outdoor dining area the boat was designed with London's iconic hotel Claridge's in mind.   

The main deck and lounge are designed for hosting and centered around a uniquely designed self-playing piano. The foredeck has enough room for a helicopter to land.

The upper decks contain a lounge, cinema together with several cabins.
