Fully vaccinated Frank Reich tests positive for COVID-19
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated.
Reich, who said he's asymptomatic, will miss the start of the team's training camp.
"I'm excited for training camp, however I'm disappointed I won't be there with the team as we start," Reich said in a statement. "I'm feeling well and I'm looking forward to returning as soon as I'm medically cleared."
Reich, 59, is in quarantine outside of the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Ind., where the Colts begin camp. The earliest he can return is next Monday.
Reich begins his fourth season with the Colts.
He owns a 28-20 record with the Colts after guiding the club to an 11-5 mark last season. The Colts lost to the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round of the 2020 playoffs.
