IIM-Vizag to offer entrepreneurship diploma for Sri Lankan women

IIM-Vizag signed a memorandum of understanding with NIBM, Sri Lanka
VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM-V) signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Business Management, Sri Lanka in a virtual mode on Monday.

According to IIM-V officials, the purpose of this MoU is to strengthen the courses of NIBM by IIM-V through design, development, and delivery of programmes of contemporary interest for the students in Sri Lanka.

The courses would be delivered by IIM-V faculty using the NIBM world-wide platform (Digital Campus). As part of this MoU, the first programme to be jointly initiated by both the institutes is the one-year “Diploma in Women Entrepreneurship”.


The MoU was signed by Director-General, NIBM, Dr M A Kulasooriya, and Director, IIM-V, Dr M Chandrasekhar. Also present on the occasion from NIBM were head consultancies Dr. Himendra Balalle, director administration Saman Rodrigo, and director finance Sivanjalee Yogaraja.



The IIM-V team was represented by Chair (international relations) Prof Amit Chakrabarti, Chair (entrepreneurship) Prof Mohammad Shameem Jawed, Coordinator (administration) Prof Neena Pandey; Chair (PGP) Prof PRS Sharma, Prof Bishakha Majumdar, Chair (PhD) Prof Vivek Madupu, and Chair (executive education) Prof Anuradha MV.
