‘Bigg Boss Tamil' fame Yashika Aannand and her friend met with a serious accident on Saturday night (July 24) after their car toppled after hitting the median on ECR road near Mamallapuram in Chennai, as per media reports. The actor’s friend succumbed to her injuries and died on the spot. 

Yashika's deceased friend, 28-year-old Valli Chetty Bhavani is a resident of Hyderabad. A software engineer by profession, Bhavani retuned last week from the United States and gone to Chennai to meet her friends. As per police sources, apart from Yashika and Bhavani, there were two men present in the car, however, their identities are yet to be known.

The victims were rescued and rushed by commuters to the emergency care unit at Poonjeri. Valli Chetty Bhavani was declared brought dead while Yashika and the other two victims were admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. As per an ETimes report, the tree are in a critical state.

The fatal road accident took place around 11:30 pm on Saturday near Sulerikadu on ECR road when Yashika and her friends were returning to Chennai. Images of the damaged SUV have surfaced on social media. A case has been registered by the Mamallapuram police and probe is underway.

Yashika Aannand rose to fame after her stint in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss Tamil 2’ which was hosted by Kamal Haasan. The Delhi girl has featured in films like ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’, ‘Zombie’ and ‘Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu’ among others.
