Meanwhile, in neighbouring Sangli district, 858 fresh Covid-19 patients and 20 deaths were reported in a single day today, taking the district's tally of such cases to 1,69,784 and the toll to 4,498, respectively.
On the other hand, 981 more patients were discharged during the day across the district, taking overall count of recoveries to 1,55,947.
There are now 9,341 active cases in the district, an official report said.
