BSF caught 8 illegal infiltrations from Bangladesh to India.
Bengal again has witnessed illegal migration from Bangladesh which was caught by the BSF on Friday.
"On 23 July 2021, the troops of Border Out Post Hakimpur, Tarali and Bithari, 112 Battalion (in the North 24 Parganas district), Sector Kolkata, while on duty at the Border Road, apprehended 08 Bangladeshi nationals illegally crossing the International Boundary, some of whom were coming to India and some were trying to go to Bangladesh," the BSF said in a press release.
The other Bangladesh national was apprehended at the Ghojadanga Border Out Post in the North 24 Parganas district while he was going from India to Bangladesh.
Two of them were trying to enter Bangladesh from India, while one woman was returning to India from Bangladesh. BSF troops caught an infiltrator trying to enter India from Bangladesh. She has now been taken into custody. In the investigation, it was found that she is a Bangladeshi citizen who illegally crossed the border along with her husband, eight years ago. She also said that she paid Rs 8,000 to an Indian broker for illegally crossing the international boundary.
The troops of the Border outpost Tarali were alerted as soon as they received information from the intelligence branch of the BSF. The infiltrators were caught from different regions of the border of West Bengal`s South Bengal frontier.
