MHADA to adopt, rebuild devastated village in Raigad: Awhad

Thane, Jul 25 (UNI) Senior NCP leader and Maharashtra Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad has declared that the MHADA will adopt and totally rebuild the devastated Taliya village in Mahad of Raigad district.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had after his visit to the affected areas said that it was a difficult task of developing the village once again, he told newsmen here on Saturday.
He further said that during his meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday. the latter asked him to take the responsibility of rebuilding the devastated village.
Following their instructions, he had decided that the Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority will adopt the devastated village and ensure its total development, the minister said.
He also said that he would personally monitor the rebuilding of the village and ensure that it will be the model village with all amenities and facilities.
The village will have well constructed houses, schools, hospital, balwadi, and even places of worship for all communities, he added.
No one will face any problems in this village and the houses will be safe, he assured.
