Maharashtra: 33 bodies recovered, 52 still missing after landslides in Raigad
Raigad (Maharashtra): As many as 33 dead bodies were recovered and 52 remained missing on Friday in Tilaye village of Maharashtra's Raigad following a landslide due to excessive rain.Maharashtra Urban Development and PWD Minister Eknath Shinde who visited the village said that the rescue operation will resume in the morning.He further informed that a total of 32 houses were destroyed in the natural calamity.Speaking to ANI, Shinde said, "33 dead bodies have been recovered, 52 are still missing. The rescue operation will resume in the morning. A total of 32 houses have been destroyed."

Train traffic on the Konkan Railway route has been restored. Konkan Railway officials said that the track fit certificate was issued at 3.45 am on Saturday. Train traffic on the route was suspended since Thursday as the water level had risen above the danger level on the railway bridge on the Vashisti river in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.

Army deploys 15 rescue teams for flood relief in Maharashtra; Navy, Coast Guard also send in teams
Indian Army has mobilised teams to Maharashtra, which has been hit by torrential rainfall that triggered landslides and flooding in several districts of the state on Friday.The Army under 'Operation Varsha' has mobilised colums in action for flood relief in the state. A total of 15 relief and rescue teams comprising troops from Aundh Military Station and Bombay Engineer Group based at Pune have been deployed overnight in affected areas of Ratnagiri, Kolhapur and Sangli districts of the state.The Army said based on request by the civil administration it has mobilised flood relief and rescue teams to assist the local administration in flood affected areas- in the districts of Ratnagiri, Raigad, Pune, Satara and Kolhapur and Sangli.

Red alert for six rain-hit districts of Maha; extremely heavy showers expected
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a red alert for six districts of Maharashtra which have been already pounded by heavy rains, forecasting "extremely heavy" rainfall and recommending preventive actions. The Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh (KZSDUS), which owns the milk brand Gokul, on Friday said there will be no supply of its pouch milk to Mumbai on Saturday due to flooding in Kolhapur, Sangli and other districts of Maharashtra.
