Pakistani actress Meera joins Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)! Here's why

Pakistani actress Meera, who made her Bollywood debut with Soni Razdan’s ‘Nazar’ opposite Ashmit Patel in 2005, has decided to enter politics. The actress has joined Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Meera also said that she will soon hold a press conference to talk about her decision to join politics. Let us give you the story so far. Last month, she wrote to Imran Khan pertaining a grave matter. The actress had then alleged that her mother had been kidnapped by land-grabbers. Meera wrote to the Pakistani PM seeking immediate help after alleging threats from the miscreants. The actress had also requested Imran Khan to look into the matter at the earliest and take necessary action. Meera further submitted an application to Capital City Police Office (CCPO) Lahore regarding the property issue. Tearfully talking to the press, Meera said, 'They attacked my mother and brother.
