CISCE results: Maharashtra gets 100% success in class X and 99.95% in class XII

MUMBAI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) class X students from Maharashtra secured a 100% success rate. The class XII students of the same board had a success rate of 99.94%.

The results announced on Saturday saw the all India success rate of 99.98% for class 10 and 99.76 for class 12. The results were based on internal assessments of past two to three years performances after exams were cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic. Last year, with several papers cancelled, ICSE (class 10) had recorded a national success rate of 99.3% while ISC (class 12) had a success rate of 96.8%.

In Maharashtra, 24,359 or 100% class 10 students from 234 schools were declared passed. Last year, Maharashtra class X students recorded a near perfect success rate of 99.9%.
Of the 3,427 class 12 students who appeared from 53 schools in Maharashtra 3,423 were successful. Last year the class 12 success rate was 98.5%.


Last week, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) had recorded a 99.95% success rate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results. The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results are expected to be declared by the MSBSHSE next week. The class 10 and 12 results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is also expected next week.


Across India around 13 states secured a success rate of 100 percent in both class 10 and 12. Overall, both girls and boys achieved a pass percentage of 99.98% in class 10. In class 12, girls across the country got 99.86% success while boys got 99.66% success.



South Region saw a pass percentage of 100%, followed by western region with a success rate of 99.99%.



With results out, recheck of answer scripts is not available as written exams did not happen. Grievances on allotted marks (error in calculation of marks) can be addressed through the school till August 1.
