Team GB star Matthew Hudson-Smith WITHDRAWS from Olympics on medical grounds but it is NOT Covid related... as Joe Brier steps in to take European champion's place in 4x400m relay squad

European 400m champion Matthew Hudson-Smith has pulled out of the Olympics on medical grounds.

Team GB confirmed the 26-year-old has withdrawn, although it is not Covid-19 related.

Joe Brier will take Hudson-Smith's place in the 4x400m relay squad having initially been a travelling reserve in Tokyo.
