600 tablets for kids in government schools

Gurgaon: The district administration on Friday distributed laptops and tablets among students and teachers of several government schools. The initiative was part of a CSR programme and 27 laptops were given to teachers and 609 tablets were given to students.
At Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Jacobpura, deputy commissioner Yash Garg distributed the devices. “When learning is happening from home, it is imperative to take concerted steps and ensure that each and every child has access to these devices,” he said.
Meanwhile, the education department has floated applications for the state teacher’s award.
Teachers of private and government schools can apply on the department’s website (https://schooleducationharyana.gov.in/).
