EXCLUSIVE | MX Player top OTT platform in India; garners 51.84mn unique viewers in wk 28/21: COTT

MX Player, Disney+Hotstar and ZEE5 were the Top 3 OTT Platforms in Week 28 of 2021 (July 11 – July 17), per Chrome OTT’s popular list of Top 12 OTT platforms. During week 28, MX Player’s Samantar S2 secured the top spot on the Top Shows list and was also the Top Binged show.

Following Samantar S2 were Puncch Beat S2 available on MX Player and ALTBalaji and Netflix’s Never Have I Ever Season 2 which secured the second and third spot on the Top Shows list and the Top Binged list respectively. During this week Toofaan on Amazon Prime Video was the Top Movie.

Top 12 OTT Platforms in Week 28 of 2021 (July 11 – July 17)

MX Player, Disney+Hotstar and ZEE5 were the three top OTT platforms in India. MX Player was the top OTT platform with a reach of 9.03% translating into 51.84 million unique viewers, followed by Disney+Hotstar with 45.50 million unique viewers and a reach of 7.93%.

ZEE5 came in third place with a reach of 1.16% translating into 6.62 million unique viewers.
