Among the many new things people learned after 2020, one was planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic. Families across the country found it difficult to execute a wedding that would keep everyone safe. WedSafe program by WedMeGood features different segments for the platform’s hygiene-certified vendors, to ensure that brides and grooms-to-be could have a safe wedding that was also just what they envisioned.
In keeping with this desire to make wedding planning not just easier but safer, WedMeGood has launched a feature, using which couples can now contact vaccinated vendors for their weddings. Following the COVID-19 vaccination roll-outs this year, the platform now offers a handy new feature which lets users filter vendors by their ‘Vaccination Status’ on the app. All you need to do is select the filter – and just like that, a list of vaccinated vendors will show up on the screen. In fact, over 20% of the brand’s active vendor base have sent in their vaccination certificates.
Mehak Sagar Shahani, the co-founder of WedMeGood says, “The recent ease in restrictions means that couples are planning their nuptials with about 100+ guests between July-December, with at least 10% of them preferring smaller, intimate affairs. Plus, given the number of professionals involved in putting together an Indian wedding, finding those who are vaccinated is of utmost importance. WedMeGood now showcases which vendors have been vaccinated, so couples can make more informed hiring decisions and get back to safe, intimate celebrations. Going by the data accumulated over the past 2 weeks, approximately 10-15% of our daily active users are specifically filtering and contacting vaccinated vendors across categories. We expect the numbers to rise once more users are aware of this new feature.”
This decision comes after a careful analysis and understanding on the brand’s part, of the user sentiment. Knowing that couples now prefer to book vaccinated vendors over non-vaccinated ones, WedMeGood reached out to each of their vendors and have allocated the vaccinated ones with a unique badge on their WMG profiles. Not only does this help users identify them faster, but also helps vendors drive more leads.
