Pita Taufatofua, the Hot Tongan Flag-Bearer, Is Shirtless & Oiled Up Again for Olympics Opening Ceremony!

Pita Taufatofua became a viral sensation at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics when he put his shirtless and oiled-up body on display during the opening ceremony.

The 37-year-old taekwondo competitor is back for the 2021 Summer Olympics and he looked so hot while appearing at the opening ceremony on Friday (July 23) at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Pita was one of two flag-bearers for Tonga this year, joining fellow taekwondo athlete Malia Paseka. She is the country’s first female athlete to compete in the sport!

“When the Chef de Mission announced that the one officially chosen to be the flag bearer was from taekwondo I was like ‘oh yeah, it will be Pita,’ but to my surprise they said it would be me,” Paseka told Radio New Zealand. “I was really happy and honored, but I was also quite shocked.”

She added, “I’m really excited but a bit nervous too because this is really new for me. I’ve been to many competitions before, but this is my first Olympic Games and I’m just thankful really for the opportunity to be representing my country and that they trust me to be the flagbearer.”

Pita also showed up at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea!
