Brahmins being targeted under BJP rule: BSP Gen Sec

Ayodhya, Jul 23 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member Satish Chandra Mishra on Friday accused the ruling-Bharatiya Janata Party dispensation in Uttar Pradesh of specifically targeting the Brahmin Community.

"Hundreds of Brahmins have been killed in the BJP government. There is no such thing as law and order in the BJP government," the party leader said.

He further said that the Brahmin community has deposited lakhs and crores of rupees in the name of Lord Shri Ram. "But, in almost a year, the foundation of the temple itself has not been constructed properly," he alleged.

Mr Mishra gave a clarion call of restoring brotherhood between the Brahmin and the Dalit community. He asserted that the people of both communities can together help the party to wrest power in the upcoming Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

"Like 2007 when the people of all communities, especially the people of Dalit and Brahmin communities formed brotherhood among themselves and gave huge support to the party, today again in 2022 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh there is such a need," Mr Mishra said adding that if 13% Brahmins and 23% Dalits are united and they get support from other communities, then no one can stop a BSP government in 2022.
