    Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

    In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 138.59 points up at 52975.80 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    On the BSE, Kaarya Facilities (down 20.00 per cent), Agrimony Comdts. (down 19.32 per cent), SK International Exp (down 14.47 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa (down 12.64 per cent) and Megastar Foods (down 12.44 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

    In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

    The index closed 32.0 points up at 15856.05.

    On the BSE, ICL Organic Dairy, Santosh Fine, Regal Entertain, Arman Holdings and SVP Housing hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Zomato Ltd., TCFC Finance, Tainwala Chem, Zenlabs Ethica and Victory Paper touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
