He previously revealed it was a dream project he'd been 'chasing for 20 years.'
So death metal rocker-turned-director Rob Zombie was thrilled to give fans a glimpse of his upcoming reboot of The Munsters, the silly 1960s sitcom about a family of friendly monsters and their efforts to fit in.
The House of 1000 Corpses auteur, 56, has been teasing his creative process on social media, recently sharing concept drawings for the costumes of what man of the house Herman and his wife Lily Munster will be wearing to bed.

Lily's gorgeous black gown, evocative of Elvira and Morticia Addams, will feature 'handmade spiderweb print/embroidery,' according to the image, along with distressed and 'destroyed' edges at the hems.
And Herman will be clad in his iconic striped sleeping shirt and old-timey cap.
On Wednesday Zombie shared a close-up look at Herman's prosthetics concept.
The Frankenstein-esque character was originally played by veteran Hollywood actor Fred Gwynne over 72 episodes between 1964 and 1966.
Front and center in the pictures was Hermann's most prominent feature – his brow, along with monstrous bolts and scarring.

He has posted blueprint drawings for the house itself, as well as the location in Budapest, Hungary where the entire neighborhood of Mockingbird Heights will be constructed.
As far as casting for the movie, IMDb so far only reports that Rob's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, has been cast in the role of Lillian Munster.
Sheri's previous credits include several of Rob's prior films, including his Halloween reboot from 2007 and the sequel two years later.
Last month, Zombie announced via his Instagram that he will be directing the movie reboot of The Munsters.
