National Chili Dog Day: Skyline Chili dropping new sneakers, Gold Star Chili offers free coneys

National Chili Dog Day is coming up and Greater Cincinnati's biggest chili chains are celebrating it. 

Cincinnati's favorite holiday is still about a week away but there is plenty of time to get excited.  National Chili Dog Day is Thursday, July 29. 

In honor of the holiday, Skyline Chili will be launching 100 pairs of limited-edition sneakers.

"Your only chance of snagging a pair is by entering our sweepstakes! Check back (Friday) to see the design and to find out how to win 'em," officials said on Facebook. 

As of 9:30 a.m. Friday, the design details haven't dropped. 

Gold Star Chili will also be celebrating, buy offering free cheese coneys. 

Coney lovers will receive one free cheese coney with the purchase of any regular Pepsi product for dine-in, drive-thru or carry-out service on June 29 at any of Gold Star’s 70 restaurants.
