The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has permitted protesting farmers to hold protest at Jantar Mantar in the city from today till August 9. Security cameras at Jantar Mantar, close to Parliament, have been inspected to ensure cops can monitor the situation. The protesters will be taken to the site in buses with police escorts. Farmers have been permitted to protest at Jantar Mantar with limited numbers not exceeding 200 people for Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) and 6 people for Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) from 11am to 5pm daily.
We have placed preventive arrangements to avoid the entry of any miscreant at the Tikri border. The arrangement has been put in place as they (farmers) haven't received permission to hold protest here.
