Nifty Realty in the fast lane, index surges 3%; Indiabulls hits 52-week high

Phoenix and Sunteck rose 3.78% and 3.22% while DLF was nearly 3% higher at Rs331.80 per piece.

The Nifty Realty index outperformed on Thursday with gains of more than 2.5% during early trading session. Among all stocks listed on Nifty Realty, only one is trading in the red i.e. Sobha Limited.

At around 11:15 AM, the Nifty Realty was trading at 400.20 up 11.05 points or 2.84%, after touching a high of 401.10 and low of 391.55 during intraday trade. 

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex was trading at 52,818.56 up 620.05 points or 1.19% and Nifty50 at 15,806.80 up 174.70 points or 1.12%. 

Indiabulls Real Estate was bullish, selling at Rs166.95 per piece higher by 8.27% to lift the performance. The stocks hit 52-week high at Rs169.20 per piece on Thursday. Phoenix and Sunteck rose 3.78% and 3.22% while DLF was nearly 3% higher at Rs331.80 per piece. 

Brigade also advanced 2.62% to keep the winning momentum. Heavyweight Godrej Properties and Hemisphere Properties were also trading higher by nearly 2% each. Oberoi Realty also doing well by surging 0.53% at 698 per piece.

On the contrary, Sobha was the only laggard in the sector at Rs604.55 per piece, down by 0.59%.
