Renault Duster to be discontinued this year, new-gen to launch in 2022

The French carmaker’s Renault Duster used to be one of the best compact C-segment SUVs in the Indian market when it was launched back in 2012, but the company has failed to provide the latest updates in the car due to which its rivals on the segment like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Brezza took over its place.

The French carmaker has decided to replace the current generation Duster with a new generation Duster. According to the media reports, the new generation Duster will launch in mid-2022 or the start of 2023.

The company’s managing director, Venkataram Mamillapalle said the company is working on its new-gen model of Duster and it will launch in the market very soon.

Currently, the new-gen Renault Duster is being sold in many European markets from 2019, the company has also given the car a mild facelift earlier this year.

There are speculations that the same facelift version of Duster is expected to hit the Indian market very soon. Recently, the company has also filed patents for the design of its new-gen Duster in India. Meanwhile, further details would be out soon in the upcoming months.

New-gen Duster Space and features

The customers might see a big change in the car in terms of features and space. The upcoming new-gen Duster is likely to get more interior space, large boot, and extra ground clearance.

The company might introduce the latest features in its upcoming SUV like ambient lighting, voice control assist, new touch screen music system, multi-functional steering wheel, dual climate control and new cluster display.

Safety Features

Reports said the upcoming SUV will have a rear parking sensor, speed alert, multi-airbags, ABS, EBD, engine immobilizer and many more.
