It has been learned that raids are being conducted on the offices of the company since two and a half hours. Official sources said that the raids are being conducted at Noida, Bhopal, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and some other places.
Along with the ED, Income Tax Department, there is also the support of the local police. The entire search operation is being conducted by the Delhi and Mumbai teams. More than 100 officer employees are involved in the raid. During the raids till now, important documents have been claimed to have been found.
Congress has attacked the Modi government over the raid. Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said on Twitter that Income Tax Department officials are "present" at around six premises of the group. These include his office in the Press Complex in the state capital Bhopal.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamalnath have also condemned the raids of the premises of Dainik Bhaskar.
