The NSE Nifty index traded 157.0 points up at 15789.1, while BSE Sensex was up 546.23 points at 52744.74 as of 10:19AM (IST) on July 22.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 3.90 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (up 2.62 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 2.56 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 2.52 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd. (up 2.32 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.84 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 0.56 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 0.48 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 0.30 per cent) and Cipla Ltd. (down 0.30 per cent) were among the top losers.
