Vodafone demonstrates robot using 5G to sign rugby shirts in UK remotely from South Africa

Vodafone said it used a robot to enable British & Irish Lions Rugby players to surprise UK fans with live shirt signings over the Vodafone 5G network all the way from South Africa. In July 2020, Vodafone announced its role as lead partner of the British & Irish Lions for the 2021 Tour of South Africa.
