Ecuador approves connectivity-focused reform of Telecommunications Law

Ecuador's president Guillermo Lasso has signed decree 126 to reform the country's Organic Telecommunications Law, in force since February 2015. The main aim of the reform's 18 articles is to shift the focus to connectivity and to closing the digital divide rather than tax collection, above all in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
