Cincinnati Music Festival's Outdoor Museum to feature 15 Black-owned businesses, artists

The Cincinnati Music Festival is launching its outdoor museum this summer and it opens this weekend.

The Cincinnati Music Festival Outdoor Museum at Washington Park is a curated exhibit of artwork and will highlight 15 Black-owned businesses and artists.

The exhibition will be created from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and visitors are encouraged to attend. Music will be performed throughout the day and is programmed by the Cincinnati Music Accelerator.

Officials said the artists and businesses have been paired together to create a "unique exhibition focused on supporting local artists, local businesses and the celebration of businesses being back open, thriving and creating a diverse community."

The business and artist combinations are:

  • Gallery at Gumbo, Javarri Lewis
  • Society Cycle, Tausha Cox
  • Cincy Nice, Nytaya Babbit 
  • Switch Lighting and Design, Cedric Michael Cox
  • The Confetti Room, David Micheal Butler
  • Esoteric Brewing Company, TC Flowers
  • Nostalgia Wine and Jazz Lounge, Terence Hammonds
  • Revel Urban Winery, Paris Abstract
  • Cream + Sugar Coffeehouse, Hannah Jones
  • District 78, April Sunami
  • Sugar Innovations, Gee Horton
  • Pata Joja Taqueria, Katelan Thomas
  • Drip Coffee Lounge, Adoria Maxberry

Officials said the exhibition will be dispersed throughout Washington Park for a month-long installation and then travel to Court Street to be on display for a period of time before heading back to the businesses to be proudly displayed within their space.
