Online trading platform IG Group posts jump in annual profit
July 22 (Reuters) - Online trading platform IG Group Holdings on Thursday reported a 52% jump in annual profit, as a retail frenzy boosted trading activity beyond the already strong levels seen in the previous financial year.
London-based IG said pretax profit rose to 450.3 million pounds ($617.54 million) for the 12 months ended May 31 from 295.9 million pounds reported a year earlier, when a pandemic-driven sell-off in financial markets led to record levels of volatility.
