    skinny fat?

So I’m really not sure if I should continue my current deficit I’m doing. I feel like im skinny fat, any thoughts?
I’m between continuing my deficit or to start eating slightly over maintenance to build muscle.
Im just waiting for the abs to pop up but it’s being some time in the deficit and I’m no longer sure if I should continue.

My main objective is to be lean and muscular ( around 8% bodyfat )

    Stats:
    Age: 20
    Height: 5ft 10.5” (179cm)
    Weight: 149 lbs
BodyFat: ? (Machine at the gym says 8% since it’s just my arms and legs are skinny but belly, chest and back are obviously over 15%)
    Mantainance: 2550~ with my activity
    Eating : 2200 cals / 150g protein
Workout: 5 times per week - 2 times each upper body muscle w/ swimming cardio after. Just started 3 months ago, I was on the deficit for around 10 months since I was overweight. Not sure if it matters but just letting know

    Much appreciated for the replies!

    Edit:
Here is my 5 days workout

    Workout:
    Monday
    Chest/tricep
    Shoulders

    Tuesday
    Back
    Biceps

    Forearm (each 2 weeks)

It doesn't matter what you call it, but I'd call it untrained more than skinny fat. I wouldn't cut at 5-10, 145 lbs. Maintenance or slight surplus is fine.

Don't make a muscular 8% your main objective at this stage, you'll end up spinning your wheels.

Get on a proper workout program, that'll be more important than figuring out your bf% or seeing your abs. 2x each upper body muscle doesn't mean anything.
